30-Year-Old Man Defiles 12-Year-Old Girl Chased Away From Home By Aunt In Abia

A 30-year-old man has been apprehended for allegedly "taking hostage" of a 12-year-old girl and defiling her in the process in Abia state. 

It was gathered that the little girl who hails from Apugo in Enugu State, has been living with her aunt who allegedly maltreats her constantly and flogs her with a cutlass. 

According to reports, the little girl who sells sachet water for her aunt - was chased away from home by the same woman on Wednesday, 10/04/2019 and the suspect took advantage of the poor orphan in a pretense of accommodating her, to sexually abuse and defile the minor. 

The community policing vigilante of Umuogele village in Abia - caught them and handed them over to the Ndiegoro Police Division. 

Efforts are being made to get an NGO to take up the girl's case.
