Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has warned his players ahead of his sides FA Cup final clash with Manchester United slated for May 19.
Conte, who saw his side lose 3-0 to Newcastle United in Sunday’s final day Premier League clash at St James’ Park, warned his players that they cannot afford to deliver a repeat performance to Rafa Benitez’s men when they face the Red Devils this Saturday in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
Goals from Dwight Gayle and a double from Ayoze Perez sealed a 3-0 win for Benitez’s side.
Chelsea could hire Manchester United assistant boss Rui Faria as Antonio Conte’s successor, according to Don Balon.
Jose Mourinho’s long-term No 2 has announced he will be leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season and is looking to make the step up to management.
Faria has been linked with the managerial job at Arsenal but, according to Don Balon, Chelsea are also interested
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho remains uncertain on whether striker Romelu Lukaku will be fit to take part in the Wembley showpiece.
Lukaku picked up a knock after colliding with Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos.
"I don't think it's something, or I hope it's not, that at this moment keeps him immediately out of a game that is in a few weeks' time.
"But I don't know. I never, when I finish a game and a player is injured, immediately go for good or bad news. I wait a bit more.
"I don't know if he is going to be out, or if he's not okay. He wants to play all the time. He is never tired and, when he has small things, he doesn't care. He still wants to play."
