The Opposite Of Contextual Reading - ETCSINES
Contextual reading can be defined as a process of reading that urges the reader to read in context of the content of the paragraph, sentence or words, to allow the sense of imagination to create a meaningful picture out of the words, attaching meaning to words and relate it not only to the topic that is been read but generally to the whole subject or course that it relates to. So I'll be telling you today about the opposite of contextual reading.
When you read a statement or book out of context, the circumstances in which it was intended are not correctly understood, so that it seems to mean something different from the initial meaning that was intended. This is also when you read a book and you tend to understand partly something that someone said or what the writer east trying to depict that the original meaning is changed due to your intuition.Students most times read in a style that makes the discourse in a book unrelated to the topic of discuss, by reading literally and attaching meanings that was not originally intended by the writer.
When students tend to read this way the paragraphs, sentences and words do not make exact meaning. When students don't read in a contextual way it is difficult to figure out the word’s meaning. Reading contextually helps students become armed with an inventory of ways to access unknown words to understand deeper meaning of the text, so when they don't read contextually they tend to forget that words have different meanings depending on the sentences it is being applied to and are at a disadvantage to decipher meanings for themselves.
