It always surprises people when I tell them that I am an introvert. "But you host a radio show! You go on TV! You are a public speaker!" they exclaim. "Yes," I respond, "I have learned to act like an extrovert because that's what I need to do to pursue my dreams!" From speaking with other entrepreneurs, this seems to be common among others as well, so it was a real treat today to interview an expert on this exact topic -- personality psychologist (and my former psychology professor from Harvard!) Dr Brian R. Little -- one of the most esteemed thinkers in the field of personality psychology and how introversion and extroversion affect our daily lives, career goals, and personal successes.
He has written extensively about what happens when you are introverted...but have to pretend to be extroverted to succeed in the workplace or at your personal goals. He is funny, charming, and even with his boisterous personality...delightfully introverted. Hope you can catch the replays of our show on SiriusXM 111 or on demand on the SiriusXM Radio app!
