Isaiah 54:4-8

“In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you” … Isaiah 54:8, NIV
Love and compassion are like conjoined twins. Wherever love is found, compassion would definitely be present. In truth, no genuine compassion can he displayed where love is missing. Love is the basis for anyone to show genuine compassion. Meanwhile, compassion is the sympathy for the suffering of others, with a strong desire to help.
In today’s text, God, in His everlasting love promises to have compassion on you. Though the Lord might have abandoned you, in order for you to learn some eternal lessons, especial from your shortcomings, His love has now compelled Him to come to your aid.
Friend, are you at a point in your life where you feel like throwing n the towel? Have you reached that stage where you think calling it quit with life is the best option? Today, the Lord is asking you not to give in or give up, because He has decided to have compassion on you. It shall be well.
