On Sunday 10th July, we realized something really important. After some highly spirited discussions, we remembered and better understood the underlying factors that influenced our decision for founding Slatecube – to develop world-class african talents for today’s job market. On that note, we made two key decisions.
Slatecube now offers all courses for free!
Henceforth, all Slatecube Professional Courses would be, and remain FREE for everyone, forever! No hidden deals, no promoted access to courses. None! You get the best, and pay nothing to build knowledge in a career that you’ve dreamt of for years. That’s how much committed we are towards giving you the tools to help you succeed.
Introducing the Slatecube Learning Hub (Slatecube iDeaLabs)!

Success in any endeavor is guaranteed by a planned out process involving mentoring, interaction, and connection. That’s why we’re introducing the Slatecube Learning Hub in Lagos, Nigeria. This hub helps complete our mission for every Slatecuber. It ensures that after you’ve built world-class professional skills for free on Slatecube, you go on to build industry experience while working with top-notch professionals all in a serene, well-catered, internet accessible accommodation, with the goal of connecting you to jobs that align with your career goals. The hub houses slatecubers for a total duration of 4 months.

The Hub would have 3 batches annually. Each batch lasts for a duration of 4 months. While we’d love to have everyone go through the Slatecube Learning Hub, we can only admit a maximum of 9 slatecubers per session. This ensures that we provide the very best services, and jobs to the best candidates per term.

Work spaces at the Slatecube iDeaLabs Residence
The structure of the hubs ensure that you commit to learning, practice and building skills that eventually see you land your dream jobs at the end of 4 Months, with a lot of fun and networking along the way. This structure consists of 3 stages.
Learning Phase: This is a 1 month professional on-boarding process where residents are exposed to advanced concepts, certifications, and some un-paid remote/virtual internships. The idea is to orientate residents on how best to maximize opportunities in their chosen fields, and to make them fit to compete at the global level.
Expert-in-residence Phase: Also known as the EiR Phase, is a 3 month paid virtual internship period where residents work remotely for companies around the world with the sole purpose of building job experience and networking with world class professionals.
Job Matching Phase: This stage typically occurs immediately after completing the EiR Phase. We work to place you into world-class companies in the Slatecube network.
Requirements:
Participation in the Learning Hub + Virtual internship + Job matching program is not free. You should have paid at least 50% of the fee before being accepted into the program. Total fee is #50,000 ($200) and includes tuition, boarding, internet access, and personalized recruitment services. Please note that we’d provide sufficient snacks and fruits, and may sometimes serve lunch; however you are responsible for your feeding needs. You’d have access to a kitchen, room, toilet, bath, sitting area, dinning and several workspaces. See below for other details.
– You must have signed up on Slatecube and completed any course offered on the platform. Remember, all courses are now free.
– You should score high on quizzes and projects. The higher your scores, the better you chances of being selected.
– You should be 18+ in age and willing to travel and stay away from home for 4 months.
