The newly elected president of football’s governing body, FIFA, Gianni Infantino, alongside secretary-general, Fatma Samoura, are expected in Nigeria on the 24th of July, as part of a two-day working visit.
Infantino confirmed the trip after a meeting with NFF President Amaju Pinnick in Paris, France yesterday.
NFF president Amaju Pinnick told thenff.com, “The FIFA President and secretary general will arrive in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Sunday, July 24, on a two–day working visit to Nigeria.”
Pinnick confirmed that during the two-day visit, Infantino and Samoura will meet President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, also meet other African FA heads who are expected in Nigeria to join the NFF in welcoming the FIFA president and attend an evening session with Corporate Nigeria in Lagos.
